This is probably the cleanest app for car maintenance right now, but the icon really lets it down. It's busy and just doesn't look the part. Perhaps if you removed the wrench and gauge from the current one, and made the background a solid color (not 3D), it would look a bit better. It's really the only thing keeping it from being on my homescreen right now. That gorgeous material design is all through the app, but not where everybody looks at all the time just makes this omission so glaring IMO. Read less

I'm a recent convert from Drivvo and one thing I really like about that app is that upcoming reminders will show up at the top of the Log screen in a different color once you get within a user-defined amount of miles / days of reaching that reminder. As far as I can tell, Fuel Buddy only gives you a system notification once a reminder is overdue. I would like to request a similar pre-notification of reminders by whatever mechanism you think would be best...a system notification, a banner at the top of the app on all screens, a system notification, etc. It would be nice if the user could also customize the threshold by which the notification will be generated. I also sent this in via the web form but thought I'd repeat it here in case that one didn't go through. Read less

When creating a new Trip, the Departure Odometer value is automatically set by the app. A nice feature. The problem however is that when I do a Fill-Up during a trip (which is usually the case), theTtrip uses the Fill-Up Odometer setting for its Departure Odometer value, which is not correct. Would it be possible for the app to use 2 "last values", one for the Fill-Ups and one for the Trips, to avoid them being mixed up ? FYI, I always create a Trip at arrival, with manual entries. Hello, first, this is a great application and I thank you for it. I use it all the time for both my car and my motorcycle. Next, I would like you to consider adding the following features if possible: 1) I do not have 'data/internet' services on my phone, so, when I am on the road and fill up, I get a 'sync failure' message, however, when I get back home, my phone automatically reconnect to my home WIFI. It would be nice if the application would detect this and retry it's 'sync' operation at that time. Currently, I need to manually force a 'sync' operation for the new data to be uploaded and sync to my other device (tablet). 2) When I add a new full-up, I now get the option to select the volume (Liters vs US Gallons vs UK Gallons), and this is great, it would however be nice if the same volume was shown for the price. Currently, it shows 'Price/L' regardless on the volume selected on quantity. It would be nice to have: Price/L or Price/USGal or Price/UKGal to match the volume selected on quantity. 3) Also, It would like to be able to select the currency on that same 'add fill-up' screen. I often travel to the USA from Canada. Gas is sold in Liters and paid in CAD in Canada and sold in US Gallons and paid in USD in the USA. While in the USA, it would be great if the application would allow me to enter the amount paid at the gas station in USD and convert it to CAD automatically. I understand that some conversion tables will need to be included in the application and kept up to date and this may not be so easy because of the number of currencies available. Thanks. Read less

Please create a section for recording vehicle parts. This would be a section not linked to the maint or fuel logs. It is simply to put in parts for your vehicle. I would use it for lightbulb part numbers, Brake Fluid, Differential Fluid, Tire size, Oil type,...... This is handy for when you need to buy something you have the info at your fingertips vs trying to find it buried in the last maint record. Oh by the way if you do this you will get features that aCar has and thus some aCar Pro Refugees that are not happy with their new pricing. Great app to track vehicle expenses, especially fuel. I am quite satisfied with the app, already rated with 5star. Still, I have a few suggestions, if possible, please incorporate....... 1. Kindly add one more indicator in the dashboard, viz. Distance since last fill up. This will help us know how many km already traveled since the last fill-up, and plan when to fill up again. 2. One more suggestion, if possible, give an opportunity to see head-wise expenses, like all entries for fuel fill-up only or all entries for trips together..... 3. One more important issue, average fuel consumption for recent fill up should be blank, as it is just filled and has not run at all. Rather, your calculation of average fuel consumption is actually for the previous fill up, kindly fix this issue as well. 4. Please add a column to insert income (negative expenses). Read less

I've found things that are not right. Like the App will not display the data at the data point only draw a line for you to guess. Where on the PC browser it displays the data point and what the value is. Then on the App, you select the vehicle you are driving but go to the browser it always defaults to the first one in the list. The browser version is missing the import feature. So if I export and backup on my PC where would be common there is no way to import back a copy if I wanted to reload the data on the PC. Reminders don't fully work on a PC and tell you to go to your mobile App. This should be allowed so people setting up fleets or several vehicles can use their PC that hen pecking on a mobile device trying to load all the reminders. So I'm a long time mycarprojects.net user but they have recently gone offline. So I'm in the process of moving all my records over into your system. One thing I liked about their system was there was a screen that showed each car, the systems estimate on the current mileage and then a spot to update the mileage to actual. Also on this screen was the past due items from all the vehicles shown at once. This was a great way for me to enter updated mileages and then see what vehicles needed what quickly. Having 8 vehicles that I rotate, there is no consistency in the mileages so the system estimates don't always come out well. Read less

Could I also please ask that you consider removing trailing spaces from the Fuel Brand field if the user happens to include one. This is more to correct trailing spaces entered incorrectly by predictive text rather than a defect with the app but it means that some locations can end up being displayed twice when displaying fuel economy by brand, for example. Worked example: Fuel Brand: SHELL Fuel Brand: SHELL_ ... are not the same when it comes to the app / exported .csv. If I were to look at the fuel economy by brand then I would have two entries for "SHELL", one of which has a space in the name but should be considered to be the same. I can go into the .csv file and find instances such as this without too much difficulty and this is easier than trying to find the relevant instance in the app itself, but it would be better if the trailing space wasn't included in the first place. Please note that this should only apply to trailing spaces and not spaces in general, so in this example: SHELL SHELL_ <- the trailing space should be removed, but in this example: SHELL_FUELSAVE <- the space between the supplier and the brand should not be removed. SHELL_FUELSAVE_ <- only the last (trailing) space would be removed. Thank you for your consideration. Read less

I lease my vehicle and as part of that lease I have to specify an annual mileage. Aside from monitoring my fuel economy this is the main reason for using apps such as Simply Auto. Could you please add an (option for) annual mileage stat to the "Stats & Charts" section, possibly under "Total Stats" so that this information is readily available. I can perform a similar function by specifying custom dates and picking a year between the start / end when this appears as "Distance" but this seems like a bit of a fuss for a simple figure and is subject to user error. At the moment I run the outdated and now unsupported FuelLog (Android) app alongside Simply Auto largely because i prefer the way it handles and displays my averages. I will attach a screen grab of FuelLog showing the average annual mileage and a .csv export of the data that was used to generate this (don't worry, there are no personally identifyable fields in there). The latter is probably of most interest as there seems to be some sort of baseline levelling going on as having just changed my car and re-filled it up fully just once, Fuel Log is currently claiming my annual mileage to be 9976.67m per year (CAR_2) when over approx 2.5 years of previous car data (CAR_1) it correctly identified my average mileage to be 15869.93 miles. If you could add more average data (particularly average annual mileage) I would not feel the need to run two apps that do pretty much the same thing. I either have to remember to check the settings every time I enter anything or calculate between the units in my head. This is bugging me in the iOS version since I am using this app. Every time at the gas station I input the gas price/Ltr (e.g. 45.51) and the fuel qty added (e.g. 65.00) soooo why do I still need to compute myself the cost field? All the data needed is available (45.51 x 65.00) ... now isn’t it? Also, if I tell the employee to add gas for 3000.00 he will do exactly that so the field for Fuel QTY as well should be automatically computed and filled, why is it not? Of course it should be correctable but not 0.00 ? And you can’t save the record of those fields don’t have data? Please fix this. Thanks Read less
